What People Say About Marisol

Elizabeth Almeida,
Local Small Business Owner and Former Westford Select Board Member

Marisol is the candidate we need for School Committee in 2022. Her experiences as an advocate, lawyer, and working mom will benefit the families of Westford. A proven leader and trailblazer, Marisol can unite the community on the important issues of emotional wellness, COVID recovery, and DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion.)

Lynne McEwan,
Former Leader of Westford Girl Scout Service Unit and Local Parent

I have known Marisol for 9 years through Westford Girl Scouts. With Marisol, every teacher, parent, and child in Westford will feel represented. She is not a single focus candidate. As a parent, student, or teacher, you will feel listened to and your views will be considered. Marisol will look at the bigger picture and bring solutions that perhaps have not been considered before.

Claire Redman,
Former Teacher, Westford Girl Scout Troop Co-Leader, Local Parent, and Volunteer

Marisol is a wonderful role model for young women and a champion for civil rights. When my daughter was a Junior at Westford Academy, Marisol facilitated a Job Shadow to Juvenile Court in Lowell, followed by a lunch meeting with the Judge. With her statewide knowledge of childcare systems and the law, I believe that Marisol will be an invaluable addition to the Westford School Committee.

Mary Anne Seraphin,
President of Friends of the J.V. Fletcher Library, Former President (for Nearly 20 Years) of the Westford Parent Connection

I had the pleasure of meeting Mari Garcia several years ago, when our kids were in the Summer School For The Performing Arts (SSPA) at Westford Academy together. If you know anything about theater, you know that it is the most inclusive, most compassionate community around. Theater kids readily accept people as they are, no matter what. I saw this daily with my own children, and with Mari’s, as well. She and I then bonded over books and board games. She is a delightful human being. She’s also a fierce mama bear for all kids, regardless of background or circumstance. I am thrilled that she is running for Westford School Committee. She is intelligent, well-prepared, and thoughtful and will make an excellent addition to the Committee.
